ESL Volunteers

The mission of Christ Community Church's English as a Second Language program is to help refugees, immigrants, and international students in the Omaha area learn English, make friends, and explore faith. We aim to show the love of Christ through our actions and words.

If you are interested in volunteering with CCC's ESL program as a Childcare volunteer or Van driver, please complete this form.


Expectations for Childcare Volunteers:
Complete a background check
Complete training with the Kids Ministry team
Complete cultural training with the Director of Missions
Commit to serving for a full year
Dedicate 3 hrs weekly to volunteering
Complete cultural training with the Director of Missions
Commit to personally praying for the children & their parents
In case of absence, communicate with the ESL Director & Kids Ministry team 
Attend quarterly ESL teacher meetings for enrichment and collaboration


Expectations of Van Drivers:
Complete a background check
Complete the CCC Automobile Usage Form 
Submit a copy of your car insurance and driver’s lincense 
Complete cultural training with the Director of Missions
Commit to serving for a full year 
Dedicate 2-5 hrs weekly to volunteering 
Complete cultural training with the Director of Missions 
Drive and put gas in a 15-passenger van 
Contact students riding the van to ensure attendance
Commit to personally praying for the ESL students and families 
In case of absence, communicate with the ESL Director
Attend quarterly ESL teacher meetings for enrichment and collaboration

Commitment 
Openness to growing and learning new skills 
Willingness to form relationships with internationals 
Willingness to engage in spiritual discussions
